FUNCTION
Contract manager
PERIOD
2008-2014 (preparation to completion)
The project Landschapszone – landscape zone – includes the building of a nature park and recreation area on about 150 hectares to the north of Nijmegen. The location will be the new suburb of the Waalsprong development. Part of the Landschapszone project is the creation of three lakes amounting to 60 hectares and averaging a depth of 16 metres whose catchment capacity will be large enough to service the surrounding area.
Our role To Interface was the contract manager for this project. In this capacity, we prepared and progressed a negotiation procedure for a work/dig concession. The contract was awarded to MNO Vervat in mid-2010, after which the work could start. We used system oriented contract management during this phase. The designs have now been finalised and the permits acquired. The removal of sand has started and will continue to 2020.
