A feasibility study is being carried out in Mumbai (India). It includes the completion strategy and preliminary design for two toll bridges: one across the Thane Creek and one across the Rewas sea channel, respectively 2x3 and 2x2 traffic lanes, both 7 km long. Both bridges are essential for the main road network around Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
Our role To Interface has taken on the role of project manager and contract manager and is responsible for the strategic and financial aspects of the project. We are also responsible for the standards specifications. This project collaborates with partners from India and Belgium. We are using a new approach to lead the project team which includes standards driven design, risk management and interface management . This new approach will result in an achievable and high profile project. The international character and the diversity of the parties involved generate dynamism and make the process of completing this project challenging.
