PROJECT NAME
Noord-Zuidlijn
CLIENT
VIA NoordZuidlijn, a collaboration between Visser & Smit Bouw and Imtech Building Services
FUNCTION
Tender manager followed by project manager
PERIOD
June 2010 to present (tender phase through to contract implementation)
The Transport, Technology & Completion contract comprises the finishing of the metro stations and completion of the railway line system and its associated utilities along the entire North-South line railway in Amsterdam. Apart from the architectural finishing of the stations, this also includes installing units such as escalators and lifts, lighting and countless other units, systems and provisions for travellers that a well-functioning transport system requires. The contract is ‘design & construct’ based on the UAV-GC 2005 (Uniform Administrative Conditions for Integrated Contracts 2005). Apart from the design and construction, a priority is to minimise disruption to the area and contribute to the integration of the system.
Our role During the tender phase, To Interface was responsible for the tender management. Apart from the general management of the tender team, we also delivered content contributions to the MEAT products. These MEAT products were focused on the project management (basic management plan), minimising disruption in the area, and enabling the full integration of the system and ultimately sustainability. After being awarded the tender in 2011, To Interface, as the project manager, is responsible for the entire management of the construction consortium. The most important aspects of this work are ensuring quality interaction between client and contractor, the change process and the connection of the NoordZuidlijn railway to the existing network.
