This project was about the construction of a new office of about 46,000 m2, part of which was 90 metres tall and part of which was 45 metres tall, for the Informatie Beheer Groep and Belastingdienst in Groningen. The contract and DBFMO (Design, Build, Finance, Maintain and Operate) was for twenty years and was awarded by the Rijksgebouwendienst (Government Building Agency) in a competitive tender.
Our role As an independent party, To Interface fulfilled the role of project director during the tender process. To Interface was thus responsible for managing the integrated tender team whose goal was to submit the winning tender. Part of our role was to jointly develop and implement the tender strategy, monitor adherence to the preconditions and stimulate collaboration within the tender team and between the team and the different partners, advisors and disciplines to ultimately submit the winning tender. The project director was also the first point of contact for the tendering authority and was responsible for maintaining good client relationships.
