PROJECT NAME
Nieuwbouw drinkwaterproductiebedrijf Van Heek Zeddam
CLIENT
Salverda construction company
FUNCTION
MEAT writer
PERIOD
2014 (tender phase)
Drinking water supplier Vitens put out a tender for the building of a new drinking water plant to increase the water purification capacity. The complexity of the project lay in the fact that it involved many different parties in building the pumping station in Zeddam. This called for an excellent alignment between Salverda (construction) and other disciplines such as mechanical engineering, underground infrastructure, electronics & process automation and roof construction. The project was awarded to Salverda on the grounds of MEAT.
Our role As the MEAT writer, To Interface supported Salverda in defining the winning strategy and translating it into a plan of action in which the two required quality criteria – collaboration and sustainability – were described. Salverda won the bid on the basis of the tendered price and the evaluation of the plan of action.
To Interface and Salverda were selected because: • our collaboration enabled us to specify concrete and well-thought through control measures for the vulnerabilities to the activities; • we clearly specified our vision of the project’s sustainability; • we had consistent and clear answers to the MEAT sub-sections.
