FUNCTION
Tender manager and subsequently project manager

June 2010-ongoing (tender phase to contract implementation)
The TransportTechniek en Afbouw (TT&A, transport technology and phasing out) consists largely of phasing out from all the metro stations and the completion of the railway system and its associated utilities along the entire Noord-Zuidlijn (north-south railway line). Apart from the architectural finishing of the stations, it consists of the completion of escalators and lifts, lighting and countless other units, systems and utilities required by travellers of a properly functioning transport system. The ‘design & construct’ contract is based on the UAV-GC 2005. Apart from the design and construction, another crucial aspect of the job is minimising disruptions and contributing to the system integration.
Our role During the tender phase, To Interface took over the tender management. Apart from the general management of the tender team, we also delivered a substantive contribution to the MEAT products. The MEAT products were directed at project management and control (basic management plan); minimising disruption to the surroundings; making the best possible contribution to the system integration; and sustainability.
After winning the tender (2011) and in our role as project manager, we took on the responsibility for the entire management of VIA NoordZuidlijn. The most important points of attention were the interaction between the client and the contractor, the change process and connecting the Noord-Zuidlijn to the existing railway network.
